Stuart graduated with a degree in Management Science from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 1984. He then worked for Peat Marwick, McLintock and Henry Cooke, Lumsden.

Since joining Rickitt Mitchell in 1988, Stuart has been involved in the completion of a large number of transactions in a variety of sectors including support services, distributors, IT services, engineering, publishing, retail and technology.

He has advised on acquisitions, company disposals, management buy-outs and buy-ins, start-up fund raising, development capital and public company transactions.
