Big property data fundraising

Rickitt Mitchell has advised Manchester-based proptech company Big Property Data Ltd on securing funding for the continued development and launch of its proprietary property search platform.

Big Property Data was founded by Lorenzo Tejada-Orrell and Nick Miller who have combined their technology and legal backgrounds to develop a provider of residential and commercial property search reports delivered via a cloud based portal.

The company hosts over 150 datasets from trusted industry data providers, allowing it to automatically generate reports in a fraction of the time typically taken by traditional providers of property data. The service is Property Codes Compliance Board (PCCB), Property Ombudsman, CoPSO and SearchCode accredited.

Corporate finance advice was provided to the company by Neil Mitchell and Robert Bennett of Rickitt Mitchell.

Commenting on the deal, Neil Mitchell said: “Nick and Lorenzo have identified a gap in the market for a fast and unified property search solution. Big Property Data’s unique technology platform has clear advantages over other suppliers’ methods of data collection and further highlights the way technology is disrupting traditional sectors. We look forward to watching the company develop”.

Legal support was provided by David Hayes of Turner Parkinson, with tax advice from Bernard McIlroy of MSA Law.
